Awesomely powerful. I totally get where you are coming from. I remember in nursing school an instructor told me I could be too blunt and I might want to work on that. Being blunt didn't bother me, I don't like to sugar coat things and since I went to work in the ER, being blunt is needed. However that same characteristic can also hurt people. My prayers are very similar to your own.
Thanks for sharing.

Now that I am a stay at home mom, I can also see your point about how it is "easier" to act like a Christian.

That "yes"" hasn't always been easy in my life, but it all boils down to trusting that God is only going to lead us in paths of goodness. Further, He works in us to do of His good pleasure. So, very often He gives us the peace to step out on His will. Ex. If He sends you to the jungles of Uganda, He will likely put a strong desire in your heart for that place. He's done that in my marriage, ministry and other areas. We just have to trust Him with not only our souls....but also our lives. Amen?

I am struggling with this now. I hesitate to use the word fear, but there is some fear in where I feel God directing me to go. I am trying to follow, I am willing yet I am still hesitant to go into the unknown. Good thing my God already knows. He is the Great I AM and in him I have nothing to fear.

Now, if I could just get my mind to stop with the internal dialog of fear....I'll just keep praising, praying and following.

this is so GREAT!! It's so true, too often what I used to consider to be "trusted sources" in speaking truth years ago are now blurring the lines and winking at sin and I truly believe those types of reckless statements from the pulpit or the radio or "their latest book" are truly damaging the body by influencing them to think they can keep one foot in the world....don't they know friendship with the world is enmity towards God (james 4:4), and that if we claim to have fellowship with Him but walk in darkness then we lie and the truth is not in us (1 john 1:6)...sigh....

The "no's" of life are tough, but thank God i can go to Him for comfort and peace during those seasons.

I wrote this after someone I had been praying for went on to be with the Lord. Yep, no is tough, but with God even His no is laced with comfort.

I love this line: "When you ask, don't be afraid to rejoice in the 'yes'; while being willing to accept the 'no'". I think that's part of wholly surrendering to God's plan. Pride is so hard. It's hard to ask for help. But, as you said, our "crutch" is eternally dependable! Great post!!
